What is your favorite part about being a mom?

I love the perspective it provides. Nothing is more important than these sweet little blessings. On a day-to-day basis, my favorite part is having coffee and bottles in our bed early in the morning - it's the best part of my day when we all get to connect before the hustle and bustle. My daughter is the best cuddler, I hope her younger sister follows suit!

What is the best piece of advice your mother ever gave you?

My mother was simply the best. She was the most elegant woman and mainly led by example — “Never complain, never explain” was definitely her most repeated phrase.

If you could pick out any Miron Crosby style for your kiddos, which boot(s) would you choose and why?

The Julia in pink! An everyday wear in our household.

What is your favorite part about being a mom?

There is this intense feeling when your heart swells with joy while seeing your child thrive or experience happiness. There is absolutely nothing like it. You work double time to get the little person up and out of the house to school as prepared as possible and you just hope and pray that all you’ve given to the little person helps them be the best version of themselves. And when that smile etches across their face when they jump in the car at pick up and they’re bursting with stories to tell you… there’s nothing like it.

What is the best piece of advice your mother ever gave you?

She told me to dream. Dream Big. She told me that I could achieve anything I set my mind to. She is a creative woman but went to law school and worked as a lawyer for a period of time. She told me that she wished she had done something in the creative field. That when you do what you love, it doesn't feel like work. So, here I am! Both of my parents encouraged me to follow my dreams but to understand I would have to pay for myself the entire way. Until my salaries could afford me my New York City life, I had a hostess, bar tending or baby-sitting job to supplement my creative jobs.

IF you could pick out any Miron Crosby style for your kiddos, which boot(s) would you choose and why?

Well, of course, the Maggie boot!!!!! (if Fields – 7 years old – could fit into it). I met Sarah, co-founder of Miron Crosby, when she worked in sales at Loeffler Randall and I worked as their designer. She and I became fast friends and when she and Lizzie decided to start Miron Crosby, I was honored to be able to offer advice as they launched their brand. I had recently launched my own accessories brand, Mignonne Gavigan, and I was able to shed some light on some start up questions they had along the way. They named the Maggie boot in my honor. I have to say, I’m so impressed with what they have accomplished and to still be the kind, supportive leaders they are after so much success. If we are picking from the kid’s section on the MG site, Fields wants the David Roughout Boot in Military Green. That shade of green for me is as neutral as black or white and I love the stitched scene on the boot shaft. Fields picked it out himself while we were perusing the MC site. 😊
